The Shelby Park Community Garden is set to be complete June 11, 2011. We have had many volunteers getting things together, building beds, and passing our flyers. We are excited to start a community garden for Shelby Park.
We desire for people in the neighborhood to have a place to come and grow their own food, get to know each other and experience community. There will be volunteer opportunities and classes as well. We will have smaller beds on the outskirts of the gardens where neighbors will be free to pick from and enjoy the food.
We encourage gardeners of all types to join. From beginners to experts, we want to see folks come out and share in the experience of growing your own food.
